The impact industry has enjoyed tremendous growth in the last decade. For the coming 10 years, the sector has huge potential to create real impact and help tackle the SDGs. This session looks at the balance between financial and social returns and emphasizes the impact side of the equation. While attracting more capital and investors, the sectors needs to increase its focus on impact and the needs of the enterprises themselves. Dr. Lantum., (Ashoka Fellow) a multi-award winning social entrepreneur, and his Nairobi-based team work hard to enable citizens access quality care and medicines at affordable rates. Over 250,000 lives have been touched to date through their technology-powered services (ZiDi™, iSikCure™ and WOOP™) to clinics, pharmacies, patients, and have won the "Innovative Global South Award" in 2016 for social integration and equity in healthcare through ICT. Dr. Lantum is a graduate of the Health Care Management Program at the Harvard School of Public Health.
